Unilumin Debuts World’s First Acoustic Transparent Cinema LED Screen

NANJING, China – The Xinjiekou International Cinema in Nanjing Deji Plaza hosted the unveiling ceremony for the world’s first acoustic transparent Cinema LED screen on June 26. Developed by Unilumin, this cutting-edge LED movie screen marks an upgrade from traditional IMAX screens to the UCine LED film projection system. The event featured a preview of the film “The Royal Cat,” allowing attendees to experience the new audio-visual technology firsthand.

What is an Acoustic Transparent Cinema LED Screen?

An Acoustic Transparent Cinema LED Screen is an advanced cinema display technology that permits sound to pass through the screen without distortion. This is achieved using tiny perforations or specialized materials, enabling high-quality audio transmission while maintaining excellent visual performance. These screens support high resolutions, such as 4K, and high frame rates, delivering clear, smooth, and stable images. Additionally, they are designed to reduce harmful blue light emissions, protecting viewers’ eyes during extended viewing sessions. By eliminating the need for a separate projection room, these screens save space and offer greater flexibility in cinema design.

Unilumin’s acoustic transparent screen, the first to receive DCI certification, measures 20.48 meters wide and 10.8 meters high. It supports a 4K96 high frame rate and has a peak brightness of 300 nits. The screen’s high contrast performance enhances the clarity and stability of high frame rate movie projections. It has also passed the TÜV low blue light certification, which helps reduce eye strain for viewers.

The screen features a unique module perforation design with main sound channel speakers placed behind it. This configuration achieves ideal acoustic effects in the cinema hall while maintaining the integrity of the visual experience. The LED screen does not require a special projection room, saving space and allowing for more flexible cinema layouts. This design meets the growing demand for enhanced audio-visual experiences in cinemas.

The transition to Unilumin’s UCine LED film projection system at Xinjiekou International Cinema highlights the industry’s recognition of and confidence in this new technology. Unilumin Group, the first Chinese company to obtain international DCI certification, offers LED movie screens in various sizes and holds six DCI certifications. In addition to Nanjing, Unilumin has completed projects at the Regency Theater in Los Angeles and the San Ya cinema in Hainan province.

Bto3 Expands NFT Access with 1,000+ Digital Signage Vending Machines in Japan

0

The Bto3 community, a Web3 collective, has launched a new initiative to sell NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) through over 1,000 digital signage vending machines across Japan. This innovative approach aims to make NFTs more accessible to a broader audience, including those unfamiliar with digital collectibles.

Bto3’s vending machines offer seven distinct types of NFTs featuring Bloboo characters. These characters are designed to attract a wide range of consumers, from NFT enthusiasts to newcomers. The vending machines are placed in various locations nationwide, making it convenient for people to discover and purchase NFTs as part of their daily routines.

Customers can buy NFTs directly from these vending machines using various payment methods, including credit cards, e-wallets, and mobile payment apps like Samsung Pay and Apple Pay. This flexibility in payment options ensures an inclusive process, removing typical barriers such as the need for cryptocurrency or navigating complex digital wallets. Once a purchase is made, the vending machine dispenses a unique QR code. Scanning this QR code with a smartphone allows customers to claim their NFT online. This simple, user-friendly process is designed to make NFTs more approachable for the average consumer.

Bto3’s initiative bridges the gap between the digital and physical worlds. By placing NFTs in real-world vending machines, Bto3 brings digital collectibles into the mainstream. This approach increases the visibility of NFTs to the general public and integrates them into everyday experiences. The use of vending machines leverages a familiar retail model. Vending machines are common in Japan, dispensing items ranging from snacks to electronics. By using this model, Bto3 makes the concept of purchasing NFTs less intimidating and more accessible.

A key aspect of Bto3’s initiative is its support for digital artists. By providing a platform for artists to sell their work in a novel and accessible way, Bto3 helps expand the reach of digital art. Artists can showcase their work to a broader audience, potentially increasing their visibility and sales. The Bloboo characters featured in the NFTs are central to this strategy. Their unique designs help attract consumers and create a recognizable brand within the NFT space.

Bto3’s initiative aims to drive wider adoption of NFTs by making them easier to acquire and understand. The use of real-world vending machines lowers the entry barriers for newcomers, who might find traditional methods of buying NFTs daunting. This approach aligns with broader trends in the NFT market, where accessibility and ease of use are increasingly important. This initiative benefits consumers and contributes to the growth and mainstream acceptance of NFTs and digital art.

Displayce Partners with Echo Analytics to Enhance DOOH Campaign Precision

0

Paris – Displayce, a leading European Demand-Side Platform (DSP) for programmatic digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising, has announced a partnership with Echo Analytics, a provider of geospatial data solutions. This collaboration makes Displayce the first DOOH DSP to integrate Echo Analytics’ point of interest (POI) data, enhancing the precision and targeting capabilities of DOOH campaigns.

What is a Point of Interest (POI)?
A Point of Interest (POI) is a specific location or area of significance, such as landmarks, attractions, or businesses. This includes Points of Sale (POS), which are locations where transactions occur, like retail stores or online shops.

Echo Analytics specializes in converting raw, unprocessed, and PII-free (personally identifiable information) data into reliable, GDPR-compliant geospatial datasets. Their data allows businesses to gain critical insights without overwhelming complexity. Echo Analytics’ methodology ensures precision and accuracy, making them a trusted partner for companies seeking high-quality geospatial information. Their data library is updated monthly or on demand and includes:

  • Places Data: Over 70 million POIs across 195 countries with precise geographic coordinates and numerous well-known brands.
  • Shapes Data: More than 90% polygon coverage to define POI boundaries.
  • Catchment Area Data: Analysis of aggregated mobility insights to understand customer journeys.

The integration of Echo Analytics’ data into Displayce’s platform provides agencies and advertisers with access to a comprehensive, reliable global database of POIs, including POS for renowned brands. This integration enables more accurate and contextualized DOOH campaigns.

The partnership allows agencies and brands to leverage relevant POIs for their drive-to-store strategies. Displayce offers the ability to define POI catchment areas—geographical zones from which a business draws its customers. This feature enables more precise targeting by reflecting customer behavior, providing flexibility and precision in advertising strategies.

The integration also offers competitive intelligence by providing quick access to competitor POI and foot traffic data. This advantage enables advertisers to target competitors’ POS, identify growth opportunities, and gain market share through more effective DOOH campaigns.

“Providing accurate and comprehensive POI data is essential for Displayce’s activity. Location-based advertising is crucial, and while there are open-source solutions, industrializing the approach requires a reliable partner. Echo Analytics met our requirements and standards,” said Laure Malergue, CEO and Co-founder of Displayce.

“The future of DOOH will rely on PII-free geolocation data. Brands need to know where, when, and how they are investing their budget. Working with Displayce highlights the importance of precise and reliable data for location-based advertising,” added Adam Ejsmont, Co-Founder and COO of Echo Analytics.

By being the first DOOH DSP to integrate Echo Analytics’ data, Displayce offers significant advantages to brands seeking precision and reliability in their campaigns, allowing advertisers to connect with their audience more effectively.

The recent SOC 2 Type II certification further solidifies its reputation as a reliable partner for businesses globally.

Navori’s digital signage software is known for its robust features and scalability. The SOC 2 Type II certification enhances the software’s security through stringent controls, continuous monitoring, and regular audits, protecting against unauthorized access and data breaches. This certification ensures that the software’s open architecture and proprietary API, which support seamless third-party system integration, meet high data protection standards. This makes it a preferred solution for various sectors, including retail, corporate communications, healthcare, and transportation.

Importance of SOC 2 Type II Certification

SOC 2 Type II certification is a comprehensive standard for security and privacy, involving an independent audit of internal controls over a specified period. Barcelona – The Bagel Factory, a well-known UK chain specializing in freshly baked and filled bagels, has upgraded its customer experience by implementing nsign.tv’s digital signage software across its stores. This enhancement aims to improve the visual appeal and functionality of their menu boards, offering both dynamic and static content.

Established in 1997, The Bagel Factory has expanded to over 32 locations, primarily in major travel hubs across the United Kingdom. The company sought a cost-effective and user-friendly solution for its menu signage and found an ideal match in nsign.tv. “We were in search of a cost-effective and user-friendly menu signage solution that could be easily deployed and maintained across all our stores,” said Abdul Mohamed, IT & Digital Business Partner at The Bagel Factory. “Nsign.tv is incredibly user-friendly, allowing us to easily maintain playlists and schedules.”

By integrating nsign.tv’s digital signage software, The Bagel Factory can manage its menu boards with ease, making swift updates to prices, menu items, and special offers through centralized cloud management. Ocean Outdoor Expands Premium DOOH Network in Edinburgh’s St James Quarter

UK – Ocean Outdoor has completed the expansion of its premium digital out-of-home (DOOH) network in St James Quarter, Edinburgh. This development is timed with the ongoing international summer sports events, starting with the Euros and leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

On June 24, two new portrait DOOH screens were introduced, marking Edinburgh’s first large format, full motion pedestrian screens. These screens, named The Screen @ St James Quarter Multrees Walk and The Screen @ St James Quarter Princes Street, enhance Ocean’s existing Loop network, which includes 31 portrait D6 screens and one D6 totem.

The new large format portrait screens, provided by Absen, measure 5 meters wide by 7.5 meters high. Utilizing the Absen A series, these screens ensure low power consumption and TUV carbon footprint verification, aligning with Ocean’s environmental standards.

Old Mout Cider is the launch partner, presenting its Moutopia campaign. This nationwide branding effort, planned through Dentsu X and Posterscope, features a creative concept transporting viewers to a vibrant, fruity island setting.

Since opening in June 2021, St James Quarter has become Scotland’s leading retail-led, mixed-use destination, with an annual footfall exceeding 18.9 million and an average dwell time of 105 minutes.

The introduction of these new screens precedes the opening of Team GB’s official fan zone at St James Quarter. This fan zone, presented in collaboration with Ocean, will be available to the public from July 26 throughout the duration of the Paris Olympics.

Marc Keenan, Managing Director of Ocean Scotland, stated, “Ocean’s combination of large and small format full motion screens, alongside our bespoke experiential fan zone for the Paris Olympics, offers brands various formats and immersive environments to engage outdoor audiences during this exciting summer of sport. Our continued investment in quality formats, prime locations, and tailored audience experiences at St James Quarter reinforces Ocean’s position as Scotland’s premier provider of super premium DOOH in high traffic areas.”

Anne Ledgerwood, Estate Director at St James Quarter, added, “The addition of the large format screens supports Ocean Outdoor in bringing engaging advertising to the Galleria. These screens also provide opportunities for live streaming fashion and music events, as well as brand gamification through pop-ups and activations. We are always looking for new ways to engage and entertain our guests, and these screens add another exciting element.”

The completion of the St James Quarter network also enables new advertising formats, including DeepScreen Alive. Developed by Ocean Labs and Ocean Studios, DeepScreen Alive offers real-time interactivity with 3D DOOH content, enhancing audience engagement through immersive entertainment with bold illusions and live effects.

The contract includes significant upgrades to Rome Metro Line A, with extensive renovations of stations and the introduction of advertising on Line C for the first time. IGPDecaux will also continue its advertising operations on Rome’s buses and tramways, serving nearly 2.6 million daily passengers, amounting to 940 million annually.

This initiative is part of a broader plan by the Municipality of Rome to enhance the urban environment and introduce new services in preparation for the Jubilee year in 2025, which is expected to draw millions of visitors.
