This significant upgrade includes partnerships with Key Systems, Samsung, and Scotland TV to deliver a comprehensive display solution on a historic transit network.

Digital display panels are now operational at five key stations: Partick, Shields Road, Hillhead, Buchanan Street, and St. Enoch, managed by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport. Positioned strategically in public concourses, entry areas, platform walls, and cross-track locations, these networked, addressable digital displays mark a pioneering achievement, being the first cross-track displays in the UK.

Innovative Integration and Enhanced Engagement

The digital displays feature signagelive® open standards content playback software, integrated into six-sheet format display enclosures developed by Harp Visual Communications. These enclosures house Rhino e55 LCD displays with embedded PCs and networking equipment, driving Samsung’s 55” SM550EXn panels. The latest LED backlight technology from Samsung ensures the panels consume only 90 watts of power, significantly reducing energy consumption and heat generation.
