Dell OEM Solutions Points Tripleplay Services Towards More Flexible Digital Signage Offerings
- Tripleplay switches from incumbent hardware supplier HP in order to leverage direct relationship with Dell’s OEM Solutions team rather than work through third-party channel partners
Amino and Tripleplay launch new simple “network free” digital signage solution
Amino Communications and Tripleplay are collaborating on a new standalone solution that can provide the latest digital signage techniques in “network free” environments.
The two companies have developed a way of loading content and play out schedules directly onto an Amino device via local storage – providing users with the flexibility to install signage and advertising where an IP network may not exist.
Tripleplay’s Steve Rickless, CEO said: “This latest innovation is based on customer demand for a flexible low cost digital signage solution that can be installed virtually anywhere. Customers don’t always have an IP network to support connectivity – and alternative solutions often depend on bespoke and expensive local hardware. Now customers can buy specially configured Amino devices, manage and load their content centrally onto local storage. It opens up tremendous opportunities for our customers to deploy digital signage in the widest variety of environments at an extremely cost efficient price.”
Amino CEO Andrew Burke added: “This new innovation underlines the tremendous partnership work with our partners in developing new solutions for the digital signage market. Tripleplay has taken our SDK and developed something that is both simple and compelling for this expanding and innovative marketplace. “
The new solution will be shown on Amino’s stand – 5.B40 – and on Tripleplay’s stand –4.A61a – at IBC 2011 alongside a range of other innovative IPTV solutions.
