As the 2010 National Football League (NFL) season kicks off, fans at New York Giants, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Redskins, and New England Patriots home games will experience the latest in stadium technology with Daktronics’ state-of-the-art LED video display systems.

New Meadowlands Stadium

The New Meadowlands Stadium, home to both the New York Giants and New York Jets, features four high-definition video displays located behind the end zones. Utilizing Daktronics HD-12 technology, these displays boast pixel spacing of 12 millimeters and the ability to simultaneously present two true high-definition video images. The stadium’s integrated super system also includes a digital ribbon board spanning over 1,800 feet inside the seating bowl, lower level game-in-progress ribbon boards, 20 digital pylons outside the stadium, and numerous other displays designed to enhance fan excitement and provide valuable exposure for corporate partners.

M&T Bank Stadium

The Baltimore Ravens, in collaboration with the Maryland Stadium Authority, have upgraded M&T Bank Stadium with Daktronics HD-16 technology. The Ravens were pioneers in adopting a super-wide aspect ratio for their video displays when the stadium opened in 1998. The new displays deliver higher resolution, more vivid colors, improved viewing angles, and reduced power consumption, all while fitting within the existing space and structure.

FedExField

Washington Redskins fans are greeted with two new giant Daktronics LED video boards at FedExField, enhancing the game day experience. These boards, along with new digital ribbon boards, display live video, highlights, game information, fantasy stats, animations, and interactive messages. COO David P. Donovan stated that the upgrades aim to surpass the home viewing experience, in line with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s challenge to teams.

Gillette Stadium

At Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, fans are already impressed by the new end zone displays using Daktronics HD-15 technology. Jonathan Kraft, President of the Kraft Group, noted the incredible resolution of these displays, which aim to elevate the game day experience for both Patriots and Revolution (MLS) fans.

Arrowhead Stadium

The Kansas City Chiefs have also completed significant renovations at Arrowhead Stadium, including oval-shaped LED end zone displays with HD-16 technology and large LED ribbon boards to enhance fan engagement.
