A 0609 CS Daktronics logoDaktronics, Inc. (Nasdaq – DAKT) of Brookings, S.D., announced that it will design, manufacture and install an integrated digital scorer’s table system on the campus of Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan.

The university’s new system will consist of four sections of light emitting diode (LED) video displays resting at court level in the Charles Koch Arena. Wichita’s new displays will measure approximately 3 feet high by 10 feet wide and will show game information and sponsor messages to the cheering crowds in Wichita.

“We have always had a great relationship with Daktronics and have several of their products already in our venues,” said Brad Pittman, Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations at Wichita State University. “These scorer’s tables will provide another avenue to add to the fans experience with different graphics as the game progresses as well as occasional player statistics and information. They will boost our facilities to compare favorably with the best our conference has to offer.”

“Daktronics is very excited about the opportunity to continue our relationship with Wichita State University,” said Matt Warnke, Daktronics Sales. “They have been a great customer over the years, and we appreciate their continued confidence in our ability to provide great products and support. The addition of the digital scorer’s tables to Charles Koch Arena will add even more to an already exciting game day atmosphere.”

The university’s upgrade will also provide athletic sponsors with an additional medium for their messages in the new facility. Because the tables are digital, Wichita State University organizations, athletic squads and advertisers will have virtually unlimited options for displaying their dynamic information.
