A new office building in Dubai is set to feature a 100-meter-high LED screen, claimed to be the world’s tallest. The installation is being undertaken by Daktronics, a leading provider of LED display technology. Daktronics’ recent notable projects include a massive display for Lamar Advertising in New York’s Times Square and installations at the Argosy Casino in Riverside, Missouri, and the Grand Lisboa Casino in Macao.
Innovative Display on Podium Building
The impressive screen will adorn the side of the 35-storey Podium building in the Dubailand development, framed in sleek buffed aluminum. Visible from up to 1.5 kilometers away, the screen will display advertising, messaging, and art, enhancing the visual appeal and utility of the building.
Mixed-Use Structure
The Podium building will feature two storeys dedicated to retail at the ground and mezzanine levels, with the remaining floors primarily offering office space. This innovative integration of commercial and office spaces, combined with the striking LED display, aims to make the Podium building a landmark in the region.
Editors Note: (2015 Update) As of 2015, this project was reported to be cancelled.
