Newad appoints Derek McCallum as Director of its Experiential Marketing division in Western Canada

Newad Derek McCallumJerrid Grimm, Newad’s Vice President and Regional General Manager – Western Canada, announces the appointment of Derek McCallum to the position of Director, Experiential Marketing– Western Canada.

Aside from overseeing the business development and growth of Experiential Marketing in Western Canada, Derek McCallum will also supervise a team of seven employees and dozens of brand ambassadors operating out of Newad’s offices in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary.

“Derek’s breadth of experience and customer-centric approach continue to strengthen Newad’s position as an Experiential Marketing leader in Canada,” comments Jerrid Grimm. A valued member of the Newad family since 2010, Derek has played a key role in the success of innovative and creative campaigns for numerous big companies, among them Husky Energy, Northlands Entertainment, Nintendo and the Alberta Motor Association.

From 2010 to 2012, Derek McCallum was an Account Director at Newad. He was previously employed for six years as an Account Director at Blitz (a division of Cossette), during which time he worked for many brands, including Bell, McDonald’s, Foster’s Wine and Prairie Milk Marketing Partnership (PMMP). He also worked for one year as part of EastLink, a national telecommunications company.

A graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Derek is regularly invited to speak at conferences and on panels to share his expertise in the areas of sales and promotions.
