Consolidation of its position as a nationwide leader in digital signage
Newad announces today the signature of an exclusive representation agreement for all advertising platforms and sponsorships available at the Canadian facilities of Canlan Ice Sports Corp (TSX: ICE), the largest owner of multi-purpose recreational and entertainment facilities in North America. Canlan venues attract over 11 million visitors each year.
This long-term agreement includes a network of digital screens, rink-boards, in-ice branding, building naming rights, dressing rooms, experiential events, brand customizable sponsorships and many other creative initiatives. This complements the existing classic and mega banner formats already being displayed at Canlan, since August 2012. This agreement allows Newad to further expand the digital landscape offered to its advertisers. “We are very pleased with this agreement that reflects Canlan’s trust in our expertise and ability to deliver relevant advertisers, both in terms of quality and quantity, in order to generate solid revenues. Our advertisers can now work in collaboration with Newad to identify dynamic solutions aimed at optimizing their advertising investments in a vast, captive and expanding market,” comments Philippe Marchessault, Executive Vice President, Operations, Development & Innovation at Newad.
The addition of Canlan’s 260 TV network screens consolidates Newad’s position as a Canada-wide leader in digital signage. “Newad quickly demonstrated its know-how by respecting and understanding the specific nature of our facilities, the expectations of our 11 million annual visitors as well as our revenue objectives. This is why we now wish to entrust our advertising sales and sponsorship operations to their expert teams,” affirmed Paul Dillon, Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Service of Canlan Ice Sports.
