New Meadowlands Stadium

The New Meadowlands Stadium, home to both the New York Giants and New York Jets, features four high-definition video displays located behind the end zones. Utilizing Daktronics HD-12 technology, these displays boast pixel spacing of 12 millimeters and the ability to simultaneously present two true high-definition video images. The stadium’s integrated super system also includes a digital ribbon board spanning over 1,800 feet inside the seating bowl, lower level game-in-progress ribbon boards, 20 digital pylons outside the stadium, and numerous other displays designed to enhance fan excitement and provide valuable exposure for corporate partners.

The new displays deliver higher resolution, more vivid colors, improved viewing angles, and reduced power consumption, all while fitting within the existing space and structure.

Washington Redskins fans are greeted with two new giant Daktronics LED video boards at FedExField, enhancing the game day experience. These boards, along with new digital ribbon boards, display live video, highlights, game information, fantasy stats, animations, and interactive messages. COO David P. Donovan stated that the upgrades aim to surpass the home viewing experience, in line with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s challenge to teams.

Gillette Stadium

At Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, fans are already impressed by the new end zone displays using Daktronics HD-15 technology. Jonathan Kraft, President of the Kraft Group, noted the incredible resolution of these displays, which aim to elevate the game day experience for both Patriots and Revolution (MLS) fans.

Guifx® Announces Deana UI Kit™ for iPad™

User Interface Offers Compatibility With Crestron’s Mobile Pro® G iPad™ Application

Guifx®, an interface design studio specializing in touchscreen interfaces for home automation and embedded systems, today announced that its Deana User Interface (UI) Kit™ is now available for the iPad™. Providing uncompromising convenience at home or away, Deana is currently compatible with Crestron’s Mobile Pro® G iPad application, with other manufacturers to follow.

Since December 2009, Deana has offered end users unprecedented ease of use with simple, intuitive navigation and an elegant design. Now, through Crestron’s Mobile Pro G iPad application, users have complete access to the control interface and their distributed audio; video; and whole-house climate, lighting, and security systems from virtually anywhere in the world.

“The iPad is a revolutionary device that is the perfect complement to any control system. For users, the ability to access their components easily from anywhere provides the ultimate in convenience, while our Deana UI Kit gives them exactly the same experience they would have at home,” said Morgan Strauss, director of operations at Guifx. “Even more than that, remote access provides a great opportunity to save energy and lower utility bills. If a user leaves for work without turning off the lights, it’s not a problem. A single push of the Deana UI’s designer icons takes care of it.”

Designed with ease of use in mind, the Deana UI for iPad offers a unique control experience with Guifx’s QuicKey™ navigation system. Navigating away from an A/V activity to quickly adjust lights or climate settings becomes a simple, one-touch operation. Non-A/V activities open in a modal window that the user can simply close in order to return to the previous screen and back to the automation functions.

Unlike solutions with floor-plan navigation, the Deana UI utilizes a room grid layout, providing an organized method of selecting and receiving feedback from rooms. Icons representing each room or zone improve the user experience even further by speeding up visual recognition. Offering unparalleled graphics, Deana’s aesthetics are an elegant extension to any home automation system.

The Deana UI Kit for iPad is available for download now on Guifx’s website (www.guifx.com) for $799.99, or as part of the Deana Bundle, which includes all file sizes, ranging from 240 x 320 to 1280 x 768, for $2,999.99. Updates to the Deana UI Kit, as with all Guifx products, are always available for free, so customers who have already purchased the Deana Bundle may download the updated version with Crestron’s Mobile Pro G iPad functionality at no additional charge.
