Clinical Networks Inc. has chosen ScreenScape, an Internet-based Venue Networking solution, as platform provider for their Optometry News Network. Clinical Networks has purchased a ScreenScape Marketing License allowing them to create their own branded advertising network using ScreenScape’s Internet-based service.

Dr. Hari Amarnath, co-founder of Clinical Networks stated, “The ScreenScape platform is a significant growth enabler for our business. With the cost structure offered by ScreenScape, we have been able to drastically reduce the start-up costs of a new clinic. In the short term, this is a huge benefit to our venture for growth, while in the medium to long term the benefits of the ScreenScape platform will allow us to be more responsive to client’s in keeping content current and contextually relevant and reduce our day to day content management costs. Reducing costs in today’s environment while enhancing the satisfaction perceived by our clients makes all the sense in the world. The supplier of conventional digital signage we used in the past was expensive and cumbersome. ScreenScape has solved those barriers to entry.”

ScreenScape has been described as “Web 2.0 digital signage”, as it combines professional display authoring tools with the content sharing principles and techniques of social media. A ScreenScape Marketing License can be used to develop a branded screen display network that spans organizational boundaries. This allows for the distribution of advertising content to all screens operated by all members within a network. While drawing upon a network partner’s centralized content distribution capabilities, each individual member can, in addition, create and manage their customized local content.

The Optometry News Network (ONN) was founded by Dr. Hari Amarnath, and Dr. John Peacock to enhance the optometry clinic’s business objectives by displaying informative, entertaining content, and building on media campaigns such as Eye Health Month and those of the Eye Health Council of Canada to educate and inform patients while they wait.

“After our initial test drive of ScreenScape we were really impressed. A friction point in the past was updating content. Now we can quickly add content to the displays in our client’s clinics and at the same time we can share content with the network as a whole. Matched with low cost, ScreenScape came out as a clear winner.” stated Dr. Amarnath.

Kevin Dwyer, ScreenScape President and CEO remarked, “ScreenScape’s differentiators which include lowered costs, ease of use, and content sharing through the ScreenScape Community are all keys to a rapid ROI. This is what is driving businesses of all stripes to turn away from older proprietary digital signage companies and toward our platform. We are pleased that such a high profile news network has switched over, and look forward to working with Clinical Networks as they deploy new networks in other segments of the healthcare industry.”

Dwyer continued “We are very committed to providing our solution across a broad spectrum of health and medical institutions and practitioners. Our success with Clinical Networks is indicative of the reaction we are getting from the medical community throughout North America.”
