Scala, Inc., a global leader in digital signage solutions, has successfully installed over 300 digital screens on Russian MegaBuses, enhancing passenger experiences between Russia’s major cities and shopping centers. This strategic move was executed in partnership with Captivate Media, and powered by IMTV, marking a significant upgrade in how bus commuters are engaged during their travels.
The MegaBus service, popular among shoppers traveling to and from large MEGA malls initiated by IKEA, now features state-of-the-art digital signage aimed at providing an interactive and informative journey. With an average travel time of 40 minutes, these screens offer a unique opportunity to present targeted content and advertisements, reaching over 1.2 million passengers monthly, predominantly affluent women aged between 20-40.
The installation includes 104 Scala players distributed across MegaBuses in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Each bus is equipped with three 22-inch HD LCD screens, ensuring high visibility and impact. The screens maintain a constant satellite connection with MegaBus offices, allowing for real-time content management and updates, reflecting local cultural and commercial nuances of the respective cities.
