Daktronics Inc. (Nasdaq-DAKT) of Brookings, S.D., announced today that the City of Bemidji (Minn.) has chosen the company to design, manufacture and install an integrated light emitting diode (LED) video and scoring system at the Bemidji Regional Events Center.
The focal point of the system is a centerhung display, featuring four video displays measuring approximately 8 feet high by 14 feet wide with 10 millimeter pixel layout. Able to operate as independent displays showing single large images, the displays can also be divided into multiple zones (windows) to show a wide variety of statistics, information, graphics, animations and live and recorded video.
A ring display, featuring 15 millimeter pixel layout, is also part of the centerhung structure and will be able to show a variety of graphics, animations and statistical information.
“VenuWorks is excited to be working with Daktronics on the Event Center’s video display system,” said Bob LeBarron, Bemidji Regional Events Center Executive Director. “Opening the new facility with this state of the art technology will allow the Bemidji Regional Event Center to offer the highest level of live entertainment experience to its guests.”
Also included in the project is the new Show Control system from Daktronics. Show Control provides a powerful combination of display control software, world-class video processing, data integration, and playback hardware that forms a user-friendly production solution. The new system is touted by experts as the best in the industry. For more on Show Control, visit www.daktronics.com/show.
