Magenta Research, the recognised leader in AV signal distribution and switching, today announced the appointment of Stuart Humphries to the position of Business Development Manager for the UK and Ireland. Stuart is tasked with helping to continue Magenta’s regional sales efforts for MultiView, Voyager, HD-One and the full product line, working closely with Pro-AV distribution partners, and building new relationships with digital signage and AV consultants.
“Expanding the team in the UK is vital for the continued growth of products sales in the region, especially our newly extended MultiView family and the Voyager Series, “ said Rob Muddiman, International Sales Director, Magenta Research. “ It’s great to have Stuart on board and he has already created a significant impression on our distribution channel. His business development efforts will centre on integration and awareness building with the AV consultant and installer community to ensure they specify Magenta’s high quality products at the start of any new projects.”
Stuart comes to Magenta with over 11 years’ experience in the AV industry. In 2001 Stuart joined technology distribution company Steljes as an account manager looking after key accounts on all Steljes products. The education sector saw huge growth around this time with the BECTA framework and Stuart also played a vital role in helping public sector organisations to understand the benefits of interactive technologies for enhanced collaboration between individuals in everyday life. Stuart also has experience in the AV reseller channel having managed his own company for a spell prior to joining Magenta in 2011.
In his spare time, Stuart works as a part-time volunteer for the South Central Ambulance Service and on 2 October 2011 will be participating in a charity cycle event from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
