75Media has significantly expanded its billboard portfolio with the acquisition of 595 new 48-sheet roadside billboards. This strategic move increases the company’s total estate from 580 to 1,175 billboards, cementing its position as the second-largest provider of large-format roadside billboards in the UK.

The new billboard sites are spread across key regions, including the South Coast, London, the Midlands, Yorkshire, the North East, North West, and Scotland. This acquisition enhances 75Media’s ability to broadcast advertisers’ messages to over 50% of the UK adult population every two weeks. The increased presence in top towns and cities will further strengthen the company’s capacity to deliver impactful out-of-home (OOH) advertising campaigns.

Despite the growing trend toward digital advertising, 75Media remains committed to traditional paper billboards as an effective advertising medium. Alex Simpson, Operations Director at 75Media, emphasized the significance of this acquisition, stating, “This marks a significant shift for our business, supporting our continued expansion and commitment to delivering high-impact advertising through trusted paper formats.” Simpson also highlighted the role of paper billboards in creating large-scale brand awareness, adding, “Our larger portfolio allows us to provide a truly national broadcast option for advertisers, enhancing brand visibility and reach.”

In alignment with its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, 75Media is adopting more sustainable practices. The company will now print all posters on 100% recycled paper using vegetable-based inks, as part of its goal to reach net zero emissions by 2040. This initiative follows the introduction of 75Media’s ESG strategy, reflecting its commitment to environmentally responsible operations.

Looking ahead, 75Media acknowledges the growing role of digitization in the industry. The company plans to evaluate its portfolio of over 1,000 classic billboard sites to explore opportunities for digital upgrades, aligning with evolving market trends and enhancing its digital advertising capabilities.

This balanced approach underscores 75Media’s dedication to providing both traditional and digital advertising options, catering to the diverse needs of brands across the UK.
