Customers Can Access Complete Digital Signage Package from One Global Distributor

BlueStar, a leading global distributor of Digital Signage, ADC, Mobility, Point-of-Sale, RFID, and ID & Security technology solutions, is now including a leading Flash content creation and motion graphics tool, Flypaper, in its distribution channel. This addition means BlueStar resellers can find a complete signage platform from one resource. The Flypaper Flash content creation platform solves the content problem for digital signage networks by giving users a platform to create, edit and share high quality Flash content in real time, with no special design skills necessary.

“We’re excited about the channel partnership with Flypaper Studio because this software solution fills the void with many of our networking and POS dealers about how to easily create and manage dynamic digital content,” says Gary Childress, digital signage director for BlueStar. It also brings a wow factor to simple screen promotions and presentations. Flypaper is the type of company that fits into our value-added distribution model, with bundled solutions, backed up with ongoing education and support services.”
BlueStar chose Flypaper as a complementary solution to its other technology solutions, which help companies implement impactful digital signage networks.

“Most digital signage distributors don’t offer a robust content creation tool as part of their packages; they just offer hardware,” says Don Pierson, president of Flypaper. “BlueStar acknowledges that this tool needs to be part of the total solution. Top-notch screens and fast networks are still vital, but BlueStar understands that value-added resellers are looking to present a full range of solutions to their customers therefore, content creation ability is a crucial component piece of the puzzle.”

BlueStar will distribute Flypaper as a standalone solution, in addition to bundling it with other digital signage products. Information on these packages can be found at www.bluestarinc.com.

The Flypaper Flash Content Creation Platform is a licensed environment where companies can create and share vast amounts of digital signage content and motion graphics. Users benefit from hundreds of already available templates and components , or can create their own quickly and easily, with no prior development experience.

Chorus Expands Network Reach with High-Impact Digital Display at Wellington International Airport

0

Chorus, New Zealand’s largest telecommunications utility company, continues to advance its ambitious ‘fibre to the cabinet’ programme, aiming to deliver high-speed broadband to over 80% of New Zealanders by the end of next year. This expansion effort is part of a broader strategy to connect approximately 1.8 million homes and businesses across the country, providing them with reliable and fast internet access.

To effectively communicate the progress of this significant network expansion, Chorus partnered with design company Creature to create a compelling and informative display at Wellington International Airport. The decision to use a large-scale digital installation at this high-traffic location was driven by the need to reach a broad and diverse audience, ensuring that the message of Chorus’s ongoing network improvements was both visible and impactful.

The installation features an innovative design that includes router-cut white on white layers, integrated seamlessly with dynamic video content displayed across a bank of digital screens. The purpose of this display is to visually represent the tangible progress of the network expansion, reinforcing to the public that the work is not only planned but actively happening in communities throughout New Zealand.

To bring this vision to life, Chorus selected ONELAN’s Net-Top-Boxes (NTBs) as the content management solution. Known for their versatility and ease of use, ONELAN NTBs were chosen for their ability to manage a wide array of content, from high-resolution video files to live media feeds. A single ONELAN NTB5005 unit was installed to control content on twelve Orion MPDP seamless panels, configured in a 4×3 video wall measuring 4 meters wide. This setup allows for the centralized scheduling and remote management of the display content, ensuring that the message remains current and engaging.

The result is a highly effective digital signage solution that not only captures the attention of travelers passing through the airport but also clearly communicates the benefits of Chorus’s fibre optic cabling and high-speed broadband work. According to Brooke Ashton-Taylor, Account Director at Creature, “Having investigated various digital display systems, ONELAN combined with the Orion screens fitted the bill perfectly. It offered us, and our client, the look and functionality we were after. The ability to display various content files, have remote access, and be easy to use was a pretty compelling argument.”

ONELAN, a company specializing in digital signage network solutions, has a well-established reputation for delivering high-quality, multi-zoned, multimedia displays. Their NTBs are utilized globally in diverse settings, including retail, education, healthcare, and government sectors, as well as by major corporations such as Vodafone and TalkTalk.
