During the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, LG Electronics has unveiled the OLED T, heralded as the world’s inaugural wireless transparent OLED television. This avant-garde device is equipped with 4K resolution and utilizes LG’s sophisticated wireless transmission technology for both audio and video signals.

Powered by the new Alpha 11 AI processor, the OLED T exhibits a quadruple increase in performance compared to its predecessor, enhancing graphics by 70% and processing speeds by 30%. It integrates seamlessly with LG’s Zero Connect Box, allowing for wireless connections to streaming devices and game consoles.

The design of the OLED T incorporates a base containing down-firing speakers, with an optional backlight feature for a fully transparent display. LG offers this model in various installations including standalone, against-the-wall, and wall-mounted options.

An innovative aspect of the OLED T is the T-Bar, which displays an array of information such as news, weather, and song titles on the lower part of the screen, maintaining the transparency of the display. This feature enriches the viewing experience without compromising visibility.

The transparent display of the OLED T has garnered attention for its vivid and sharp imagery, with displays like a fish tank scene being notably striking.

LG has not yet announced the pricing for the OLED T, but intends to bring the television to market in 2024. Similarly, Samsung also unveiled a transparent television at CES 2024, though it utilizes Micro OLED technology.
