In a groundbreaking move, Samsung Electronics America has elevated the spectacle of the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2023 with the unveiling of the world’s first 481-foot F1 Logo Rooftop LED Display. Partnering with Liberty Media and Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., Samsung’s latest display technologies aim to turbocharge the viewing experience for racing enthusiasts attending the event or watching from around the globe.

The star of the show is the F1 Rooftop Logo, a colossal 28,166-square-foot 10mm LED display spanning 481 feet, longer than a football field, and boasting over 22 million pixels. This dazzling LED display, shaped like the iconic F1 logo, promises to excite viewers both at the venue and those tuning in remotely, providing immersive and close-up views of the race as broadcasters leverage its immense size.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix pit building is also adorned with other Samsung display technologies, including three extra-large grandstand screens totaling 3.8 million pixels, a dynamic tight-pitch display serving as an escalator backdrop, and a mesmerizing 1,480-square-foot 3.9mm LED escalator display, designed to create a “wow” moment with over 9 million pixels.

Samsung’s commitment to enhancing the fan experience doesn’t stop there. The grandstands are equipped with three 941-square-foot Samsung 8mm LED displays featuring over 1.2 million pixels each, ensuring that every in-person attendee catches every thrilling moment of the race. These displays incorporate Samsung’s cutting-edge HDR10+ technology, boasting over 8,000-nit brightness for dynamic image quality even in the brightest conditions.

James Fishler, Senior Vice President of the Display and Home Entertainment Divisions at Samsung Electronics America, stated, “The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix is a turning point for the sport of racing, as the installation of these best-in-class Samsung displays dramatically adorns the Las Vegas Grand Prix pit building and revolutionizes how fans in the grandstands watch this race.”
