This cutting-edge display series sets a new benchmark in the industry by delivering uncompromised 4K Ultra HD performance while consuming only half the power, thanks to PPDS’ revolutionary EcoDesign methodology.

The Philips Signage 3650 EcoDesign Series, available in 50”, 55”, and 65” variants, is a testament to PPDS’ commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and advanced technology. The display is designed to cater to various environments, offering portrait or landscape mountability to suit diverse needs, from schools and retail stores to hotels, cinemas, TV studios, and corporate offices.

Eco-Friendly Features and Benefits

The Philips Signage 3650 EcoDesign Series breaks new ground in energy efficiency, consuming up to fifty per cent less power compared to similar models*. The display boasts a powerful 350 cd/m2 LED display, ensuring best-in-class 4K Ultra HD visual performance.

Awarded the EPEAT Silver Climate+ Ecolabel, the display has undergone rigorous evaluation of its social and environmental impacts, certifying its adherence to 100% of the Climate Criteria and at least 50% of the optional criteria. The EU Energy Label also recognizes its energy efficiency, with an E rating on the 50” model and D rating on the 55” and 65” models.

Moreover, the Philips Signage 3650 EcoDesign Series contributes to reducing wastage by utilizing 100 per cent recycled and recyclable materials in its packaging. The elimination of plastic bags and the introduction of innovative cushioning made from 100 per cent recycled paper underscore PPDS’ commitment to environmental responsibility.

Robert Hsu, VP Global Product Strategy at PPDS, highlighted the environmental impact of packaging, stating, “It’s estimated the world is losing 10 million hectares of forest each year due to deforestation. According to the United Nations, there are about 400 million tonnes of plastic waste produced every day. That is simply not acceptable, and it is vital that companies like us remain committed to helping reduce that unacceptable statistic.”

Advanced Technology and Features

The Philips Signage 3650 EcoDesign Series is equipped with a powerful quad-core chipset, ensuring smooth performance and consistent running. As part of PPDS’ Android SoC family of displays, it can be managed manually or remotely using third-party software or PPDS’ secure cloud ecosystem, PPDS Wave. PPDS Wave enables advanced remote device management, content control, and proactive issue monitoring, optimizing performance and energy consumption.

Designed with versatility in mind, the display features ‘FailOver’ technology, ensuring continuous display in the event of content disruption by automatically switching to the secondary input. SmartPlayer functionality allows easy content storage and playback via USB or microSD card.

Bart Wouters, International Product Manager at PPDS, expressed excitement about the Philips Signage 3650 EcoDesign Series, describing it as “one of the most powerful and sustainable digital signage displays in the current marketplace.”
