Scheduled to begin trials in June 2011, the partnership will see the installation of iSIGN’s IMS 3.1 in 346 RTown locations, including a vast array of hotels, resorts, and retail outlets spanning 27,000 rooms nationwide. These installations will also integrate with RTown’s Digital Out Of Home (DOOH) network across major Canadian tourism hubs like Vancouver, Whistler, and Kelowna.

The IMS 3.1 software is designed to deliver branded content, special offers, and rich-media directly to guests’ mobile devices, enhancing the traditional hotel television network. This technology not only supports existing advertisers with valuable metrics and measurement tools but also attracts new clients by offering real-time data on advertisement performance.

Capturing the Connected Traveler

With smartphone usage surging in North America, the average hotel guest is now more connected than ever. iSIGN’s technology leverages this connectivity, allowing advertisers to target guests effectively during their stay. Studies show that 98% of hotel guests turn on the TV shortly after arrival, and 74% engage with resort TV multiple times a day. This behavior underscores the potential of iSIGN’s solution to influence guests at critical moments.
