In case if you missed

Appspace, a prominent workplace experience platform, has announced its integration with Microsoft Teams Rooms to improve communication within collaboration spaces. Revealed at InfoComm 2024, this new feature transforms Teams Rooms into dynamic communication hubs, enhancing employee engagement.

Previously, idle Microsoft Teams Rooms devices displayed a static background with a room calendar. With the Appspace integration, these devices can now broadcast various digital signage content, including messages and alerts, while still showing essential room information such as the room name and calendar preview. This update turns meeting areas into more engaging communication centers.

Centralized Content Management

Appspace allows organizations to manage and distribute content from a centralized location to all collaboration spaces. This ensures that employees and visitors receive consistent and timely information, enhancing overall workplace communication and engagement.

“Employees expect and deserve a consumer-like experience when using workplace technology, and this integration removes the complexity, increases productivity, and delivers greater value on technology investments,” said Thomas Philippart de Foy, Chief Innovation Officer at Appspace. “Together with Microsoft, Appspace continues to demonstrate our commitment to delivering a comprehensive platform that advances modern workplaces.”

Partnership with Microsoft

The announcement coincides with Microsoft’s showcase of its latest Teams Rooms innovations, including the digital signage capability, with Appspace as a key partner. This collaboration underscores the ongoing partnership between Microsoft and Appspace, aiming to boost employee engagement and productivity. Last year, Appspace launched the Appspace app for Teams desktop and mobile, integrating more deeply with Microsoft’s ecosystem and providing a seamless workplace experience for employees, whether they work in person, hybrid, or remotely.

“In today’s evolving hybrid workplace, digital signage helps employees stay informed and connected,” said Albert Kooiman, Senior Director, Microsoft Teams Partner Engineering and Certification at Microsoft. “Appspace’s integration with Microsoft Teams Rooms allows companies to share important information in more spaces, enhancing the employee experience in meeting rooms.”
