Necedah Area School District has successfully halved its lockdown initiation time, now achieving full lockdown in approximately 20 seconds. This improvement is attributed to the integration of Rise Vision’s digital signage software with InformaCast from Singlewire Software, a combination that enhances the district’s emergency response capabilities.
Rise Vision, renowned for its leadership in digital signage solutions, has partnered with InformaCast to provide a system that seamlessly broadcasts emergency alerts across various platforms. This system not only delivers critical audio and visual notifications throughout the school facilities but also sends alerts to mobile devices, ensuring comprehensive coverage and immediate response.
The previous protocol required up to 60 seconds to secure the campus, a duration that has been significantly reduced thanks to the newly implemented technology. Kris Saylor, Director of Technology at Necedah Schools, emphasized the efficiency of the system, stating, “The integration of quick-click scenarios in InformaCast has been a game-changer, enabling our staff to initiate lockdowns swiftly, which is crucial in emergency situations.”
The system’s design also allows for a quick transition back to normal activities once the emergency is over, facilitating an efficient all-clear announcement to resume educational operations with minimal disruption.
