Barcelona – Enrique Tomás, a leading global ham chain, has partnered with nsign.tv to introduce innovative digital displays in its new vending machines at Barcelona Airport. This collaboration incorporates iiyama displays, aiming to enhance the vending machine experience with a wide range of premium Enrique Tomás products.

The first phase of this project includes the installation of 30 Enrique Tomás GO!urmet vending stores throughout the airport. These machines offer various products such as Iberian and acorn-fed hams, ham sandwiches, chips, snacks, and natural orange juices. One highlight is the “Tomasón,” a soft bread filled with high-quality ham, designed to appeal to international travelers.

A significant aspect of this initiative is its focus on sustainability. Enrique Tomás has adopted a “Green Signage” approach to reduce electricity consumption by using lightweight software integrated with internal players in the screens. Jorge Cruz, CIO of Enrique Tomás, explained, “We aimed for software that is lightweight and can operate with an internal player inside the screen, minimizing the need for additional electronic components.”

The chain selected nsign.tv’s award-winning digital signage software for its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features. This software enables Enrique Tomás to manage product campaigns, promote its corporate image, and inform consumers about the quality of its products through the vending machines. Cruz noted, “This model requires that the quality of Enrique Tomás is communicated clearly and engagingly, ensuring that purchasing from our vending machines guarantees freshness.”

With nsign.tv, Enrique Tomás can synchronize multiple screens, schedule broadcasts, and tailor content according to location and type. The Marketing department manages content remotely, while the IT team oversees equipment from the company’s Barcelona headquarters.

Enrique Tomás plans to extend this self-service vending model to other high-traffic areas, including subway stations, transportation hubs, football stadiums, and corporate offices. Toni Viñals, CEO of nsign.tv, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are pleased that our platform has been chosen by Enrique Tomás for this innovative business model. Digital signage will create an engaging communication channel to attract customers and boost sales through dynamic visual content.”
