Kinetic DOOH logoKinetic Worldwide, the world’s leading planner and buyer of Out of Home media, has strengthened its senior management team through a number of executive appointments aimed at driving the growth of the agency both globally and in key markets.

David Payne is promoted from CEO Americas to Chief Development Officer – Global, where he will focus on guiding the expansion of Kinetic’s newly developed portfolio of services across existing and emerging markets. The appointment is an important role for Kinetic as it seeks to ensure it remains at the heart of strategic growth in all areas affecting brands’ communication to those on the move.

Payne is replaced in the US by David Krupp and Tanza Bove, who are promoted to the roles of President, Kinetic US. Both Krupp and Bove will manage the US business across Kinetic’s four offices in the region. Both were previously running elements of the US business out of Kinetic’s Chicago and Los Angeles offices and have been with Kinetic in the US since launch.

In Germany, Kinetic is pleased to announce the appointment and arrival of Christian Scholz as CEO of Kinetic Group Germany. He will lead Kinetic Group Germany and drive all Out of Home and strategic operations out of its five offices in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg and Munich.

Scholz has extensive experience across the German media industry, having worked on both media agency and client side. He joins Kinetic from Aegis, where he has served as both Head of Strategic Buying in Electronic Media and as Divisional Manager for Planning and Buying for the agency.

Steve Ridley, Global CEO Kinetic, comments: “These appointments confirm that Kinetic is well placed to adapt to change to the exciting world of communications and media in the years ahead. They represent a combination of strong succession planning across our global and local businesses, whilst ensuring we can attract a fresh perspective from outside the Out of Home industry to help tap into the changing demands facing our clients and businesses globally.”

Ridley adds: “These series of appointments follow a couple of years’ hard work in driving a strategy of developing new services and technologies that will be at the heart of Kinetic’s proposition for years to come. It follows the appointment of Andy Jonesco to CEO EMEA in 2011 which signalled a more strategic approach to the business in Europe. To be able to promote home-grown talent into business-leading roles is particularly gratifying and combines well with our track record of bringing in fresh talent to Kinetic and the world of Out of Home.”
