Proctor & Gamble Salon Professional – Canada (“P&G Salon Professional Canada”) announced today they are partnering with ScreenScape Networks (“ScreenScape”), leaders in place-based media, to power intelligent digital displays inside professional beauty salons across Canada.

“We have developed strong relationships with professional salon owners” says Jeannette Kier, Senior Marketing Manager, P&G Salon Professional Canada. “Place-based media offers stylists a new and richly-visual way to communicate with their clients. We are able to leverage our existing investments in digital media to assist in this process and showcase our brands where it matters most – in the professional salon.”

ScreenScape is a software platform that connects businesses and helps them to engage audiences inside real world places using Internet-enabled digital displays. ScreenScape’s community-based approach represents a shift in the way digital signage networks are built and in the way digital content, such as online video, is distributed to places of business. Using a ScreenScape Group, P&G Salon Professional Canada can form its own place-based media network consisting of professional salon owners or any other business that is a member of the ScreenScape Community.

“We are always looking for new technologies that we can share with our salons. As a key supplier and business partner we know that if we can help grow their business the results will benefit all of us” continued Kier. “Place-based media is coming of age and ScreenScape is helping to make this technology easier to deploy and easier to manage.”

“We’d like to welcome Proctor & Gamble Salon Professional to the ScreenScape Community ” said Kevin Dwyer, CEO of ScreenScape. “ScreenScape offers brand marketers a smarter, more cost-effective way to develop a direct, intimate connection with retail customers. This is especially important for brands that sell through sales & distribution channels that are highly fragmented. Here is another great case in point. ScreenScape is simple enough as an in-store marketing solution for any salon owner to manage. At the same time it is sophisticated enough for a leading brand marketer like P&G to properly execute professional, engaging content where and when it really counts.”
