Delegates to be treated to new launches and fifth anniversary celebrations
MultiTouch Ltd, developer of the world’s first modular multi-touch LCD screen for large-scale displays, has today confirmed details for its second annual partner summit, taking place on September 12th at MultiTouch’s headquarters at Henry Fordin katu 6 B, Helsinki, Finland.
Aimed at MultiTouch resellers and developer partners, creative agencies and end clients who are interested in the latest developments in interactive display space, the summit will include introductions to a range of new interactive display products from MultiTouch such as an exciting new MultiTaction Cell (full details to be confirmed) as well as the latest IR pen support.
Some of MultiTouch’s European sales and integration partners will also be giving talks on how they have utilised MultiTouch products in their work. Steve Blyth, CEO of UK-based Engage Production Ltd will discuss the use of MultiTaction Cells in building the world’s largest multi-touch videowall (press announcement to come asap), and Hauke Helmer, CEO of Interactive Scape in Germany will demonstrate how it is possible to create multi-touch applications in an instant. Discussing Multi-touch applications: beyond the wow effect will be Gaetan Marti, CEO of Swiss developer, Atracsys. He will be followed by Kai Kuikkaniemi, project manager at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology. Kai will demonstrate how a bubble wall can be used for playful browsing.
“We’re expecting a huge turnout,” comments Petri Martikainen, CEO of MultiTouch. “Developments in multi-touch technology is happening at such a rapid pace that it’s understandable that some find it difficult to keep up. This summit gives delegates the chance to really get to grips with what we’ve been doing over the past year and how these changes affect them. If you’re involved in multi-touch, you really don’t want to miss this.”
The summit comes the day after the Cornerstone developer conference which also takes place at MultiTouch’s Helsinki offices. For developers who already work with MultiTouch displays and for those getting ready to do so, the developer conference will provide valuable information on how to use Cornerstone to create the world’s best large format multi-touch applications.
MultiTouch will also host its fifth anniversary party on the evening of the 12th, to which delegates of both the summit and conference are invited.
