Debut experiential comms tech showcase declared a success
The inaugural FLUX London event, a collaboration between Engage Production Ltd and Milamber Group, was well attended and well received. Taking place on 31st January at the Old Truman Brewery in London’s Brick Lane, FLUX attracted companies in the education and technology industries as well as businesses seeking partners who could help them realise experiential marketing initiatives and communication experiences.
Through a combination of presentations from industry-leading innovation experts, ‘pitching pods’ and tutorials, FLUX provided businesses and educators with a platform to facilitate more versatile and immersive ways of educating potential clients and customers. The invitation-only event was attended by CEOs, marketing directors and managers, human resources directors and managers, communications directors, design and event agencies, corporate education clients, training and learning officers – as well as angel investors and fund managers.
“To win customers in the current financial climate, businesses need to do something a bit special to get noticed,” explains Steve Blyth, managing director of Engage Production Ltd. “It’s not just about being great at what you do. You need to find exciting new ways of getting that message across to your potential clients, and that’s why you need to get to know the kind people who come to FLUX. When like-minded individuals come together, the possibilities are endless. From what our exhibitors have told me, the event has created loads of new business relationships and I can’t wait to see the results.”
Andy Hasoon of Milamber Group adds: “You only needed to look at the calibre of the exhibitors and attendees at the event to realise in an instant the potential impact of FLUX on businesses. We are promoting the idea of collaboration in order to generate new business, and it’s clear that everyone who took part has embraced the opportunity. The cross-pollination of ideas, the combining of skill sets, and the joint desire to succeed is what businesses need to attract customers, to sell more to existing customers and to experience growth. It’s fair to say that FLUX has made this possible for so many businesses.”
Patrick Eve, managing director of exhibitors TranslateMedia: “FLUX provided us with an excellent opportunity to meet new and interesting people, including many decision makers. There were some fascinating speakers at the event, and interesting exhibitors. We very much hope this isn’t the first and last FLUX event.”
Kai Kunnasmaa, vice president, sales & marketing, for exhibitors MultiTouch Ltd: “FLUX presented an excellent opportunity to showcase MultiTaction technology to decision makers and educators. Given this was the inaugural event, we were very impressed by the quality of the attendees.”
As well as the event itself, the organisers of FLUX launched a website, with info, features and blogs, and a twitter campaign. In addition, digital and printed versions of the official FLUX magazine were circulated to attendees. A post-event digi-mag is also planned.
