CQ Media Networks, a Greenville based software solutions company, announces the launch of the Endangered Child Notification within the KidGopher software.

KidGopher is a secure child pick-up system that utilizes technology and photo identification to ensure that students are getting into the right vehicle with an authorized guardian at the end of the school day. Should an unauthorized guardian or “Gopher” take the child during pick-up, the KidGopher Endangered Child Notification will be sent to both local and state authorities within minutes of the kidnapping. The notification includes elements such as address and current photo of the child, and even the vehicle information of the abductor. Should the Endangered Child Notification escalate to an Amber Alert, State Law Enforcement can send all the necessary information about the child and abductor to the Department of Transportation and the media, saving precious minutes from having to prepare a media release.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has been incredibly supportive in the development of KidGopher. Having this preventable tool in place will block strangers from having access to the children during child pick-up, and hopefully stop any reports of missing children from school or daycare facilities.

KidGopher also has the ability to quickly and easily deactivate a parent for pick-up during custody battles or domestic disputes. The benefit of the Endangered Child Notification is that precautions are already in place if the child goes missing, and local law enforcement can quickly examine the situation once the notification is sent.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to develop KidGopher with our team of programmers as well as State Law Enforcement Officials, the Amber Alert Coalition, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Our goal was to create a safe and efficient pick-up time at the end of the school day. Pick-up time is scary for school administrators. Having a system like KidGopher relieves the stress for educators at the end of the day by not having to remember the face of each individual parent. The security of the children is our primary focus for this product. Our goal is to see the daily number if missing and exploited children decrease,” says Neil Willis, CEO of CQ Media Networks.
