AUO Display Plus (ADP), a subsidiary of AUO Corporation and a leading provider of industrial and commercial display technologies, has acquired Avocor, a global innovator in collaboration and communication solutions. This acquisition is aimed at accelerating Avocor’s growth while expanding ADP’s product offerings and market reach in key sectors such as education and enterprise.

The acquisition aligns with AUO’s “Go Vertical” initiative, which is part of its broader transformation strategy focused on expanding vertical market applications. By combining Avocor’s expertise in interactive display solutions with ADP’s advanced display technologies and global distribution capabilities, the acquisition is expected to strengthen ADP’s position in smart display solutions, offering a broader range of products and services to its global customer base.

AUO Display Plus has been an investor in Avocor since 2022, supporting the company’s product development, including digital signage, DvLED displays, and commercial displays. This acquisition builds on that successful partnership, with ADP aiming to further enhance its capabilities and extend its reach in new vertical markets.

Key areas of growth include:

  • Product Innovation: Increased investment in research and development to introduce advanced display solutions.
  • Faster Go-to-Market Strategies: Strengthened marketing and sales efforts to expand global market penetration.
  • Supply Chain Improvements: Enhanced supply chain management to ensure efficient production and delivery of high-quality products.
  • Global Operations: Strengthened regional operations to better serve international customers and partners.

Frank Ko, CEO and President of AUO, commented on the acquisition, saying, “This strategic move will reinforce our presence in the solutions business and create new synergies within the AUO group. Together, we aim to set new standards in the display industry and deliver more value to our global customers.”

Scott Hix, CEO of Avocor and now GM of AUO’s Education and Enterprise Business Group, added, “With the backing of AUO and ADP, Avocor is positioned for significant growth, with an expanded product roadmap and accelerated go-to-market strategies.”

As Avocor integrates into AUO Display Plus, both companies plan to leverage their combined expertise to drive innovation in display and collaboration technologies. The acquisition is expected to enable both firms to deliver enhanced solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers in the education, enterprise, and other vertical markets.
