Ongpin-owned Eastern Telecommunications Philippines, Inc., yesterday launched the country’s first IP-based digital signage solutions, an advertising monitoring tool that can give real-time viewership statistics to help corporate advertisers be effective in their marketing campaigns.
Eastern has developed IntelliADS and STATview, a complete IP-based digital signage solution that can actually determine the viewership counts, gender, and age group of people who are looking at the LCD screen digital ads.
To set up the service, clients are required to have an LCD screen, media player, DSL connectivity and a webcam. This simplicity enables quick turn key deployment, said Calixto B. Salud Jr., Eastern director for Product Management and Development Group.
Salud said that the new technology can recognize the audience up to 50 feet away from the LCD screen.
In a press briefing, Salud said that their target market for this new services are the real estates, hotel,consumer goods, fast food, transport, schools and government agencies which have indoor digital ads.
Currently, the company is negotiating with eight new clients such as malls, hospitals and advertisers. Salud said that they are targeting to have at least 100 clients in the next six months.
