In case if you missed

Visix, Inc., a leading digital signage software provider, has upgraded its training services to offer clients an enhanced learning experience through an expanded course schedule and improved training materials. The change is based on customer surveys and interviews and supports the company’s philosophy of continuous improvement to build a strong brand community.

“We have had a great response to our training package since its launch in early 2009,” says Tonya Dennis, Director of Client Services for Visix. “We are now extending the training curriculum to further help organizations improve their understanding and use of our products as cost effectively as possible.”

Visix has expanded from three training courses to six for its AxisTV digital signage software. Each session has been streamlined to avoid repetition of topics and target individual user roles. An introductory video providing an overview of the software and system components is now a pre-requisite to all training sessions so courses can concentrate on software features and design topics. The new courses are:

  • Content Creation
  • Managing Content
  • Layout Design
  • Template Design
  • System Administration
  • Configuring Users & Settings

Each 60-minute online course is now delivered twice a week via WebEx™ with pre-registration. Web-based delivery enables full interaction among students and trainers and is designed to maximize the practical application of software knowledge in the workplace. Organizations that purchase the training package are allowed an unlimited number of participants in online courses for up to one year, and can access recorded training sessions for 60 days after completion, offering a virtual classroom environment with anytime, anywhere learning opportunities.

In addition to online courses, the training package includes:

  • One two-hour customized training session
  • A private, one-hour Q&A session with a Visix trainer
  • Testing and polling for participants
  • Certificates of completion for each course participant
  • USB resource library and training videos DVD

Training guides follow session agendas and have been improved with a comprehensive index and glossary, helpful tips and note-taking space, and appendices for technical documents and other useful resources. In addition, the master training guide is broken into six sections so that individual segment can be downloaded, as needed.
