oOh!media New Zealand has announced a new partnership with TVNZ to provide real-time news updates across its digital advertising network. This collaboration will bring TVNZ’s 1News headlines to digital screens in street and retail locations nationwide, using dentsu’s D4 platform to ensure timely and relevant news delivery.

The initiative, which launched last week, will see over 800 digital panels across 180 suburbs displaying up-to-date news content throughout the day. Mark Banbrook, National Sales Director at oOh!media NZ, highlighted the benefits of the partnership, stating, “We’re pleased to partner with TVNZ and dentsu to offer real-time news to people as they move through their day. Our network’s extensive coverage allows us to provide local communities with news that is relevant to them.”

TVNZ’s General Manager of Marketing, Sally Falconer, emphasized the expanded reach of 1News through this partnership, noting, “This collaboration with oOh!media and dentsu allows us to extend 1News’ presence beyond traditional platforms and into public spaces. It’s an opportunity to keep New Zealanders informed in a new and accessible way.”

Sebastian van Dyk, Business Director at dentsu, explained how the D4 platform supports this initiative by automating news updates from the 1News website and enabling regional customization where appropriate. “With oOh!media’s nationwide network, we can deliver news that is both timely and locally relevant,” he said.

This partnership between oOh!media and TVNZ underscores a shared commitment to public service, offering New Zealanders a new way to stay informed as they go about their daily activities.
