Maximize resolution-maximize distance with hassle-free solutions.
C2G, formerly Cables To Go (http://www.c2g.com), the preferred provider and trusted expert of high performance cabling and connectivity solutions, delivers the latest technologies in digital signage solutions with multiple options for signal extension. At DSE (Digital Signage Expo) 2013, C2G will showcase its TruLinkĀ® family of products; A/V over Cat5 (analog and digital), and High Speed HDMI over Active Optical Cabling (AOC), which seamlessly supports analog and digital signal distribution options ideal for digital signage applications in corporate and education environments.
The TruLink A/V over Cat5 family extends video and audio signals over Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling up to 300 or 500 feet without signal degradation at 1920×1080 or 1920×1200 resolutions. Featuring TruPairā¢ technology, this solution ensures compatibility with any displayāa true plug and play experience for the user. The transmitter and the receiver come in both wall plate and box form factors and are interoperable, offering the choice of either box or wall plate based on the needs of the application. In addition, TruChoiceā¢ power provides the flexibility to power the device at either the transmitter or receiver. The cascadable 4-port transmitters support up to 16 displays, making it simple to create a small scale digital signage solution. This solution is currently available in VGA, VGA + 3.5 audio, VGA + 3.5 + RS232, as well as HDMI over Cat5, which utilizes HDbaseT. With HDBaseT technology, the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) signal, which is the communication of the displayās capabilities, can pass through the extension solutionāensuring that the content from the source is sent at the optimal resolution for the display. All configurations in the product line are offered in both single port and 4-port options.
Garry Dukes, director of product management for Lastar, parent company of C2G stated, āThe reliable and flexible TruLink A/V over Cat5 family is perfect for both digital and analog installations. With dozens of interoperable wall plate and box form factor combinations, this solution provides the installer a simple system to customize the connectivity solution to meet the needs of the specific application.ā
Displaying high definition audio/video over long distances has never been easier. C2G will also introduce several new additions to its TruLink High Speed HDMI Active Optical Cable (AOC) product line. New at the DSE show will be plenum and riser-rated HDMI and DVI assemblies in lengths up to 50 meters providing a high performing, cost effective option for transmitting digital signals over long distances. The thin, flexible design of these fiber-based cables makes it easier to weave through sharp bends and tight, in-wall spaces, while also reducing the risk of EMI/RFI. This makes them ideal for digital signage applications in corporate, healthcare, and manufacturing environments.
As the trusted expert in A/V and IT connectivity, C2G offers a wide array of hassle-free solutions to meet every need and budget, enabling seamless integration and the flexibility to upgrade as technology changes. DSE attendees can see these solutionsāand moreāfrom C2G at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Booth 1454.
