BTX Technologies, a value-added distributor and manufacturer of interface, integration, and system products today announced that the company is expanding its sales force coverage throughout the United States. The expansion will be led in the Southeast by Regional Sales Manager Chris Mehalso, CTS, and in the Middle Atlantic area by Regional Sales Manager George Hahalis.
Mehalso’s sales territory will expand from Florida and Georgia to include South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. For customers of BTX in the Southeast U.S., Mehalso brings over 15 years of technical sales experience in a wide range of audio, video, and data products. His expertise in A/V and broadcast, along with an extensive knowledge of media integration, enables integrators to transition seamlessly into the use of new, technologically advanced products.
Hahalis’ sales region is expanding from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia to include Ohio, West Virginia, and North Carolina. Before joining BTX in 2006, Hahalis worked as a project manager for an integration company and for the U.S. Naval Academy. His responsibilities at the U.S. Naval Academy included overseeing broadcast distribution throughout the campus as well as classroom integration.
“George has experienced broadcast, production, and A/V from every perspective — as an end user, an integrator, and a distributor — while Chris has a reputation as a ‘special projects’ expert who knows how to help our customers take a project to the next level,” said Greg Schwartz, president of BTX Technologies. “Together, this unique blend of attributes makes them great technical resources in the field as we continue to expand our sales force presence. The combination is perfect for understanding customer requirements and creatively working to bring the best products and value to a project.”
“This regional expansion is another example of BTX’s commitment to its customers, who will have greater access to experts working hands-on in the field, along with the best customer and technical support in the industry,” said Mehalso. “I’m excited to bring these benefits to our new and established customers in South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee.”
“I’m looking forward to meeting our customers in Ohio, West Virginia, and North Carolina, and learning more about how BTX can meet their project needs,” said Hahalis. “Working at BTX allows me to bring a great mix of products from the distribution side, along with our own manufactured and engineered solutions. Our Plates and Panels division is second to none, and I’m looking forward to introducing all of these solutions to my expanded area.”
Hahalis is based out of Lititz, Pa., and can be reached at georgeh [at] btx.com. Mehalso is based out of Tampa, Fla. and can be reached at chrism [at] btx.com.
