Camvine, a developer and provider of innovative digital signage solutions, today announced the official release of a major enhancement to its CODA web service, bringing significant new features and functionality to its digital signage platform.
Users of the CODA web service now have access to a new library of templates, created for Camvine by a specialist design agency. These offer a selection of professional-quality screen backgrounds and layouts to get new digital signage applications up and running swiftly and simply. Another new feature is ‘Mashups’ which allows administrators to define a set of content sources to be mixed randomly over a time period, within user-defined percentages of ‘play time’ for each source of content. Content can include favourite intranet or Internet web pages, Powerpoint slides and Flash animations, amongst others.
Businesses selling advertising will also find the new reporting capability useful, as it gives a precise audit trail of the content displayed on the CODA system to support customer billing.
Commenting on the release, Brian Boakes, Camvine’s Sales and Marketing Director said “We prioritised the release of these features based on the feedback from the major field deployments that we’ve made in the last twelve months. We invite further input into our roadmap so that we may continue to offer the most capable and user friendly digital signage system.”
The new software – version 3.0 – is already available online for existing CODA users. Full details of the CODA product range can be found on the Camvine website, www.camvine.com.
