2 min read

ArabiaShop, the Middle East’s only trade fair for marketing-at-retail professionals, has chosen the Tensator Virtual Assistant to greet visitors to its inaugural exhibition. The next-generation digital signage solution will be showcased in the registration area of the show, which takes place from 8 – 10 May 2012.

Designed by international queue management specialist Tensator, the Virtual Assistant uses the latest in audio-visual technology to create the illusion of a real person, and will advise visitors of the seminars and conferences taking place over the three days, as well as welcoming them to the show.

Abdel Aziz Rahal, general manager of Tensator FZE comments: “ArabiaShop is set to be an extremely popular event, so the organisers were keen to embrace innovative retail technologies. The Tensator Virtual Assistant has been fully customised to ensure it communicates consistent messaging throughout the show and provides ArabiaShop attendees with valuable information in a compelling and attention-grabbing manner. We’re convinced that it will be a major attraction for visitors.”

Tensator is a global leader in customer guidance  and merchandising solutions and has supplied market-leading products to major retailers in the Middle East and worldwide, including Duane Reade, New Look, CentrePoint, BabyShop, Intersport and ASDA Wal-mart.

Using the company’s extensive expertise, Tensator will be hosting daily sessions in the ArabiaShop seminar theatre, advising attendees on how improving the customers’ in-store experience can drive up profits, as well as presenting case studies of effective installations with global retailers.

ArabiaShop visitors can view Tensator’s product range including electronic call-forward systems and In-Queue Merchandising at stand G21, where specialists will be on hand to give demonstrations and advice.
