Akoo International Expands into New Global Corporate Headquarters

Akoo International New Global Corporate HeadquartersAkoo International, a media and technology innovator, today announced that the Company has moved into its newly developed global headquarters at 5600 N. River Road in Rosemont, Illinois, one-half mile from Chicago’s O’Hare International airport.

Akoo’s state-of-the-art, 25,000 square foot facility occupies the entire ninth floor of a Class A commercial building. The space was specially designed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing Company, which develops interactive technology and operates a leading television network, recently rated by Nielsen as the largest average minute audience of any digital out-of-home network reporting age 12+.

Akoo’s television network is available throughout the U.S. in 161 “Akoo Pavilions,” which attract 64 million consumers each month in the most highly trafficked seating environments across the nation’s premier shopping malls. Viewers spend an average 20 minutes per visit seated in front of the network, Nielsen certifies.

Akoo’s programming includes music and entertainment, as well as originally produced programming. To maximize engagement, the Company’s patented interactive technology enables viewers to make on-demand content requests via their personal mobile devices and tablets. Consumers visiting Akoo Pavilions can also access Wi-Fi services, connect with friends via Facebook and Twitter, and receive geo-targeted mobile coupons and exclusive special offers.

The new headquarters include a master control room for monitoring Akoo’s television network across more than 60 top U.S. markets; an in-house video production facility; a recording studio; a research & development laboratory; an executive board room; the Akoo Café; and office space to accommodate employee growth. The Company also plans to incorporate a Living Room of the Future showcase to demonstrate its newest interactive technologies for partners, brand advertisers, and agencies.

Located between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and the City of Chicago, Rosemont is a leading meeting, convention, entertainment, and commercial hub, home to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, the Allstate Arena, the Rosemont Theatre, and numerous top hotels and restaurants. A new entertainment district, the Park at Rosemont, opens in April 2012.

The architectural design of Akoo’s new offices was envisioned by CEO Niko Drakoulis, with the support of an in-house team led by Chief Creative Officer Yanni Lolis and Design Director Brett Casey.
