Londis sign up to Amscreen Convenience Store Network3 min read
Leading digital media company Amscreen has today announced an exclusive agreement with Londis. The deal will see the company’s digital signage screens installed in Londis stores with the highest footfall which attract in excess of 9 million shoppers a week. The screens will help drive sales in store and offer advertisers an opportunity for real-time messaging.
Prior to the deal being finalised, the screens were trialled for an extensive period at several Londis locations with results proving to increase sales of advertised products to their customer base, a high proportion of whom are regular or repeat customers.
As with Amscreen’s already highly successful forecourt digital screens, the neighbourhood convenience network will be utilising the company’s bespoke ‘plug and play’ technology. This allows screen content to be updated remotely and in real time without the need for any extra cabling or IT infrastructure, on site. The neighbourhood convenience network provides advertisers with a captive audience in a purchasing mindset, highly receptive to prompts and special offers all in the heart of the local community.
Paul Courtney, Londis Sales Director said “We continue to look for ways to assist our retailers and customers whilst driving sales and strengthening the Londis brand. With impressive results from our trials, I’m delighted that we have partnered with Amscreen and look forward to rolling this out to other Londis retailers in the near future.”
Simon Sugar, CEO at Amscreen said: “We are delighted to announce this deal with Londis who now join Booker and Spar Scotland in the network. Our convenience store network is constantly expanding, and is on target to be in 1,000 sites by the year end, which further reinforces our position within the industry and demonstrates that we deliver results within multiple sectors. We are currently reaching out to an audience of 25 million a week and once our neighbourhood network is complete, we envisage this figure to reach over 30 million.”
