Hive, a company specializing in media control solutions, will present its latest technologies at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 in Barcelona. Highlights include the introduction of the Beeblade Nexus, a new media engine, the Nucleus chassis, and the release of version 1.2 of Hive’s software. Hive’s booth will be located at Stand 5E880 in Hall 5.

Beeblade Nexus: A New Media Engine

The Beeblade Nexus is the latest addition to Hive’s range of media engines, offering features that prioritize performance and efficiency in a compact format. Key specifications include:

  • High-Bandwidth Connectivity: Equipped with optical fibre Ethernet interfaces supporting 10, 25, and 100 Gigabit connections, enabling uncompressed media streaming through SMPTE 2110 and NDI protocols.
  • 8K60 HDMI 2.1 Output: Supports higher resolution and frame rates for improved image quality.
  • Synchronization with Beesync: Provides frame synchronization across multiple devices with +/- 5-microsecond accuracy.
  • SMPTE 2110 Compatibility: Supports uncompressed video, audio, and metadata over IP networks, suitable for broadcast and production applications.

The Nexus is compatible with Hive’s modular enclosures, such as the Nucleus chassis, which supports two Beeblade modules in a 1RU configuration, and the Beehive chassis, which accommodates up to 16 modules in a 5RU format. Fully loaded configurations can output up to 16 synchronized 8K60 channels.

Software Version 1.2: New Features

Hive will also introduce version 1.2 of its software, which includes updates designed to improve usability and expand functionality:

  • 10-Bit HDR Support: Offers higher color accuracy for displays.
  • Warp and Blend Tools: Facilitates seamless multi-projector configurations.
  • Vioso Calibration Integration: Adds camera-based workflows for easier projector alignment.
  • Dataflow Tools: Provides event-driven playback control using flowchart-based interfaces.
  • AI-Enhanced Tools: Features such as ImageExtend and ImageUpScale allow for content enhancement.
  • Hive Cloud: Enables remote management and monitoring of projects and installations.
Interactive Display with Panasonic

Hive technology will be featured in the Panasonic “Global Teleport” experience at Stand 3J500, Hall 3, where visitors can interact with real-time visual effects displayed on a curved screen. This demonstration highlights integration with platforms such as Unreal Engine and Notch.

Collaboration with ROE Visual

Hive will also support ROE Visual at Stand 3P300, showcasing LED screen playback and pixel mapping capabilities, including support for 10-Bit HDR.
