In India, advertising industry is worth more than 3.5 billion US dollars annually with a growth rate of approximately 20% per annum. Looking at the vast business opportunities and challenges of signage industry Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA) and SS Media Group are jointly organizing India Sign + Digital 2011 Expo, a leading trade event focusing on signage industry, on May 13-15, 2011 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The show will be inaugurated by Shri Ramakant Goswami, Hon’ble Minister of Industry, Labour and Elections, Govt. of NCD, Delhi. It will exhibit the contemporary products of signage, POP, screen/digital printing technology and electronic media. ISD 2011 will provide a common platform for manufacturers and distributors not only to display their existing products and services, but also to introduce new ones to a large number of potential trade buyers from India and abroad.
At this unique expo, the visitors will be able to experience some ultra-innovative upcoming trends in the Indian signage and digital industry. ‘Four Live Experience Zones’ will be set up to entertain and enchant the visitors. At the Wrapper Zone, latest Vehicle Wrap Applications, Magnetic Signs, Car Decals, Vinyl Banners, Window Lettering and Fabric Vehicle Wraps will be on display.
Visitors will also be able to get a taste of highly customized Wall Coverings, Personalised Wallpapers and Building Wraps at the WallArt Zone. The latter will also showcase a vast range of Tiles and Glass Printing Applications. At the Textile Zone, one would be able to catch a glimpse of the Textile Printing process and learn how with cutting-edge technology Personalized Suits/ Sarees, Table Cloths, Cushion Covers, Shawls etc. can be made. Last but not the least, at the Event Graphics Zone, myriad LED Displays, Banner Stands, Mannequins, Neon Lighting, Light Boxes, Portable Displays, Retractable Banners and much more will be exhibited.
ISD’11 expo, which covers all aspects of the signage industry, is the key sourcing point for the signage professionals in the country. It aims to deliver overall aspects of growth surging across the contemporary Indian signage market. Mr. Sonal Khurana, eminent figure in signage industry and organizer of ISD 2011, said, “The Indian digital signage industry in the last few years has been recording good growth figures.”
The Indian sub-continent is always on the lookout for fresh innovations in sign and graphics technologies. Home to more than 10,000 sign makers, doing a turnover of Rs. 5,200 crores with over Rs. 3500 crores capital investment and around 3, 60, 000 employed manpower. According to various industry sources, India’s wide–format market stands at around 952 million Euros, in which ink business occupies approximately 32.54 million Euros. It is also projected that the OOH segment will reach 400 million Euros by 2013.
