Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, showcased its latest advancements in interactive display solutions at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2010. The company introduced the 650TS interactive whiteboard and the new EXn series of environmentally-friendly large format LED Digital Information Displays (DIDs), continuing its innovation in educational and promotional environments.
Interactive Whiteboard: 650TS The 650TS interactive whiteboard features a 65-inch touch-sensitive display that offers a variety of interactive functionalities, including a tactile responsive screen with state-of-the-art drag and drop capabilities. Designed to enhance educational experiences, the 650TS comes with built-in speakers and an optional built-in computer, making it a standalone solution for classrooms and business presentations.
This whiteboard combats visibility issues commonly found in brightly lit classrooms by utilizing a high definition LCD panel with a wide viewing angle and less reflective glass to reduce eye fatigue. The touch screen interface allows teachers to manage presentations seamlessly, improving information flow and student concentration during lessons.
Additionally, the 650TS encourages interactive learning with its exclusive stylus pen and optional webcam, enabling dynamic two-way communication and collaboration. Its slim design minimizes classroom space obstruction, requiring less installation space compared to traditional interactive whiteboards.
Large Format LED Digital Information Displays: EXn Series Samsung’s EXn series introduces the Syncmaster LED LFD 460EXn and 550EXn, which boast ultra-sleek designs and are equipped with a 40GB hard drive for cable-free operation. These displays are significantly thinner and lighter than traditional models, enhancing ease of installation and maintenance.
Utilizing LED backlit technology, the EXn series offers substantial energy savings—up to 40 percent compared to existing monitors. This makes them particularly suitable for public spaces that operate displays continuously, such as airports and shopping malls. The displays support full HD resolution (1920×1080) and are Energy Star 5.0 compliant, reflecting Samsung’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
Equipped with Samsung’s MagicInfo™ Content Management & Delivery solution, the EXn series simplifies content sharing and management across multiple displays, making it an ideal choice for expansive digital signage networks.
Samsung at ISE 2010 Visitors to ISE 2010 can find Samsung at Hall 11 Stand K38, where they can experience firsthand the latest innovations designed to enhance viewing clarity and interactivity in educational and promotional settings.
Dominic Webb, General Manager of Samsung’s Display Division, emphasized the company’s focus on developing environmentally friendly and versatile display solutions. “Our LFDs and interactive whiteboards are designed not only to meet diverse display needs but also to offer energy-efficient solutions in line with our sustainability goals,” said Webb.
