Interactive display technology creates smart education environments to foster greater engagement between teachers and their students

Samsung Electronics America Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, the number one worldwide brand of professional commercial display LCD products according to DisplaySearch, is exhibiting the Smart School Solution among its latest innovations in digital signage technology solutions at the Digital Signage Expo (DSE), this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth #811.

By packaging together the 65” touch eBoard with a Samsung Galaxy® Tab or any Windows or Android device, Samsung’s Smart School Solution frees educators from the confines of standing at a chalkboard or projector and allows them to move about the classroom, conducting interactive lessons and lectures through wireless device control.

“Samsung’s Smart School solution represents an important part of our continued effort to deliver the classroom of the future, today,” said Kevin Schroll, product manager of commercial display at Samsung Enterprise Business Division. “Our innovative offerings add value by giving instructors the tools they need to engage students, elevate learning and foster a truly interactive classroom learning environment.”

As connectivity is essential to creating effectively smart education environments, Samsung’s Smart School Solution provides teachers with the ability to bring technology into the classroom that empowers them to create greater opportunity for interactive lectures and engaging lessons.

Instructors can improve lecture effectiveness by building in advanced education content and facilitating active communication with students through a mobile educational environment. They can share specific students’ screens with the entire class, monitor a student’s progress during class, share apps and web content and incorporate interactive functionality, like quizzes, polls and Q&As. This functionality leads to increased involvement and efficiency.

The solution also works with non eBoard displays through a laptop and wireless router.

Key functionality includes:

Lecture management
Monitoring and screen share
Remote device control
Content sharing
Q&A/quiz functionality
Screen lock, Web and apps control
Moodle LMS support
