Planar has announced the release of its next-generation Planar® CarbonLight™ CLI Series indoor LED video wall displays. Designed to deliver superior visual performance and streamlined installation, the updated series caters to diverse professional applications, including rental and staging, virtual production, broadcast, and live events.
Upgraded Features for Enhanced Visual Performance
The new Planar CarbonLight CLI Series boasts several advancements aimed at improving display quality and usability:
- Improved Scan and Refresh Rates: Up to double the previous performance for smooth, high-quality visuals.
- Enhanced Brightness: Up to 1,500 nits for vibrant display in various lighting conditions.
- Advanced Gray Scale: Optimized for better image clarity, even in low-light settings.
The series introduces a 500×1000 cabinet size, complementing the existing 500×500 option. This new size, combined with fast-mounting hardware, facilitates quicker assembly and disassembly. The lightweight design, with cabinets weighing as little as 4.3 kilograms (9.5 pounds), reduces setup complexity while maintaining strength for installations as tall as 20 meters (65.5 feet) and supporting up to 1,000 kilograms (2,200 pounds).
Flexibility for Diverse Installations
The Planar CarbonLight CLI Series offers a range of innovative features to accommodate creative and practical needs:
- Pixel Pitch Options: Available in 1.9, 2.6, 2.9, and 3.5 millimeters, with previous-generation models offering 1.5 and 5.2 millimeters still available.
- Curved Display Capabilities: 30-degree beveled edges enable dynamic video wall designs with curved surfaces.
- Toolless Installation: Simplifies maintenance with front and rear access for faster setup and teardown.
New Addition to the CarbonLight CLM Series
Planar has also expanded its CarbonLight™ CLM Series with a 5.9-millimeter pixel pitch model, enhancing its portfolio of lightweight LED displays suitable for both indoor and outdoor events.
- Durable Design: Achieves IP65 outdoor protection rating for reliable use in diverse environments.
- Multiple Pixel Pitches: Includes 6.9 and 10.9 millimeter options.
- Efficient Maintenance: Modular construction allows for individual panel replacement without disrupting the video wall configuration.
