VITEC, a leading provider of IPTV, digital signage, and video streaming solutions, has announced the installation of its IPTV and digital signage network at CO’Met Arena, a newly opened multipurpose complex in Orléans, France. Designed to accommodate international sports events, business conventions, and cultural gatherings, the arena features a sports hall with a capacity of up to 10,000, a convention center, and a four-hall exhibition area. The new system aims to enhance visitor experience by providing efficient content distribution across the venue’s extensive network of screens.
The extensive screen network at CO’Met Arena distributes targeted content tailored to various event spaces, including sports broadcasts in the main hall, event information in breakout rooms, and interactive guides in common areas. With around 200 screens distributed across multiple locations, CO’Met Arena required a streamlined solution to manage and update content easily, helping visitors stay informed and engaged.
Working with Lille-based integrator Manganelli Group and AV consultant MTCE Consulting, CO’Met management selected VITEC’s IPTV and digital signage platform to address the venue’s specific requirements. Manganelli Group, which has implemented similar solutions at Decathlon Arena and ParisLongchamp Racecourse, coordinated the installation during the arena’s six-month construction phase.
The VITEC solution, comprising encoders, servers, and management software, allows CO’Met staff to update and distribute content across the complex from a central location. VITEC’s system was designed to handle the logistical demands of the arena, covering distances of up to a 15-minute walk between screens while providing high-quality video streaming. According to Manganelli Group’s Fabrice Leguay, the system enables efficient content management and supports a “dynamic and customized visual experience” throughout the venue.
In line with energy efficiency goals, VITEC’s IPTV solution at CO’Met Arena aligns with the company’s Zero Carbon MPEG initiative, which focuses on minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. The solution’s energy-efficient management also contributes to operational savings by reducing the time and resources needed to manage content, while supporting the arena’s goal of creating a sustainable, high-performance event environment.
