Saatchi Gallery, a prominent art institution in London, has announced a transformative year-long partnership with ECNlive, an innovative digital network. This collaboration will bring a digital art exhibition directly into the workplaces of over 500,000 business executives across London, integrating the realms of contemporary art and business.
The initiative features a digitized display of selected artworks from Saatchi Gallery’s current exhibitions, including pieces from “Gaiety is the most outstanding feature of the Soviet Union” and “Breaking the Ice.” These exhibitions showcase significant works from Gosha Ostertsov and various Moscow artists from the 1960s to the 1980s, respectively.
This strategic partnership leverages ECNlive’s digital screens, located in more than 130 prime business buildings around London, transforming these spaces into temporary digital galleries. The approach not only aims to enrich the daily environment of numerous business professionals but also seeks to cultivate a deeper connection between London’s business community and the arts.
Nigel Hurst, CEO of the Saatchi Gallery, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “This is an exciting opportunity for us to reach new audiences in the heart of the City of London, and encourage business people to visit the Gallery and experience our collection and innovative new shows in the flesh.” Similarly, Antony Ceravolo, CEO of ECNlive, highlighted the transformative potential of this collaboration, noting that it turns prominent business locales into art-sharing spaces, thereby enhancing the cultural landscape accessible from the workplace.
The exhibitions featured include “Gaiety is the most outstanding feature of the Soviet Union,” available until May 5, and “Breaking the Ice,” concluding on February 24. This initiative is a bold step towards integrating art into everyday business life, aiming to inspire and engage London’s business community with the dynamic world of contemporary art.
