Digital communication system delivers bold content that commands attention in high-traffic Charlotte location.
Scala, Inc. today announced the EpiCentre dining, entertainment and shopping complex in Charlotte, N.C. has deployed Scala digital communications software to operate its landmark, outdoor digital displays. The system, operated by EpiCentre and Orange Barrel Media and provided by Scala Partner Imperatives, Inc, powers a vibrant media property that delivers unmatched visibility and message clarity to Charlotte area advertisers.
The EpiCentre digital displays are in high pedestrian and automobile traffic locations in the heart of uptown Charlotte and just blocks away from prominent businesses and venues including Time Warner Cable Arena, which will host the upcoming Democratic National Convention. They provide marketers a bold way to create a dominant advertising presence in Charlotte’s central business district.
The EpiCentre system employs Scala digital communication software to support content creation, management and distribution with the software provided by Scala partner Imperatives Inc. It uses SNA LLC LED video displays. Display content is designed either by the advertiser or Orange Barrel Media.
The installation includes four LED displays configured in pairs at the front and rear of the EpiCentre. Scala software enables live SDI video to be shown on any portion of the four screens, allowing EpiCentre to broadcast events such as its popular Alive After 5 concert series.
Scala software enables the two displays at the front of the EpiCentre to be synchronized together so advertisers can present a comprehensive marketing message on a broader scale. It is planned that a ticker display will be integrated with this signage to expand content options further.
“The incredible versatility of Scala software is essential to the great success of the EpiCentre digital signage installation,” said Pete Scantland, President), Orange Barrel Media. “Scala provides the ability to feed in live video and sync content up on multiple displays, which has helped us to create a powerful advertising venue. Also of critical importance is the stability of Scala software. We are constantly displaying content in high-traffic areas and Scala gives us the confidence to deliver promised reliability to our advertisers.”
