Samsung Leads in LED Display Technology and Integrated Solutions at InfoComm 20127 min read
New Solutions at Booth #C6319 Offer Engaging, Dynamic Visual Experiences for Virtually Any Commercial Scenario and Price
Samsung Electronics America Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation and the number one worldwide brand of professional commercial displays*, is exhibiting its latest displays at InfoComm 2012, an event for the professional audiovisual and information communication industries. Samsung will be showing a variety of LED backlit display solutions for the first time at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth #C6319, from June 13th – June 15th including the ME65B, a 65” display with an innovative touch overlay option, the H Series Hybrid TV displays, the UD22B square videowall display and the NL22B transparent all-in-one showcase display.
“Samsung is leading the commercial digital signage industry’s transition to LED technology,” said Tod Pike, senior vice president at Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division. “We were the first to introduce LED backlit LCD models specifically designed for commercial display and we continue to expand our offering while being the leading provider for system integrators. Samsung is committed to providing solutions that enable all businesses to benefit from LED backlit displays as nearly half of our product line-up is now LED.”
MD Series – LED technology at a CCFL-price point
With the introduction of the MD LED Series, Samsung is speeding up the enterprise transition to LED by making it a more affordable and competitive solution, without sacrificing key features. It also gives integrators the competitive edge against traditional CCFL models in price and performance. Engineered with energy efficiency in mind, the MD Series provides an expansive visual experience that is ideal for high-traffic areas, including commercial, public and corporate information displays. The design elements facilitate enhanced performance with the added benefit of cost-savings.
At just 17.5mm (bottom 21mm), the narrow bezel allows audiences to focus more on the content, and the slim depth offers more space for installation. The MD Series is light weight, permitting easy installation and efficient space management. With reduced heat emission, the MD Series is more energy efficient and has less impact on the environment. It also sports an embedded media player for easy content play and updates.
ME65B / ME75B – Huge 65″ and 75″ Display with Touch Overlay Option
The ME65B and ME75B extend Samsung’s LED leadership into larger size display options by offering a 65” and 75” screen size, respectively. Both displays offer a light weight display designed for commercial and retail customers looking to reduce energy spend and time and cost of installations. The FHD display comes equipped with a DVI-out component and easy content control through RS232C and RJ45 ports. A narrow bezel of just 21.5mm allows customers to focus more on content, and its slim depth offers more available space for other uses.
In addition, Samsung has created a unique streamlined solution in the form of a touch overlay option. Compatible with the entire ME Series, this accessory turns the display into an interactive board with dual drawing performance and allows for integrators and businesses to quickly add touch capabilities without the need to replace the display.
H Series – Hybrid TV Displays
The H Series is a hybrid display with a built-in TV tuner designed for moderate-use commercial applications where a consumer TV display may be needed in a commercial space such as a bar/restaurant, lobby or doctor’s office. It is ideal for customers looking to make the transition from CCFL, as it provides superior picture quality for a comparable price. The H Series comes with a built-in RS232 port for basic display control functions and USB Media Player for easy content management.
UD22B – Square Type Super-Narrow Bezel Display
Samsung’s new UD22B is a 22-inch square type display with a one-to-one format and a super-narrow bezel that is perfect for customers looking for a totally unique display solution that allows them to build creative and artistic installations. With the ability to daisy chain up to 100 units and a 1.8mm/3.7mm bezel that allows for seamless tiling, the UD22B provides endless flexibility for installations that are only limited by the imagination of the user.
NL22B – Transparent Display
Samsung’s Transparent Display (NL22B) is an all-in-one showcase allowing retailers to easily merchandise their brands. This includes built in speakers, PC and MagicInfo Premium software.
In addition to its LED display products, Samsung will also be showcasing the following:
- SL46B – A super-high brightness indoor display solution, the Samsung SL46B is ideal for high ambient light conditions such as retail storefront windows. A slim 12mm bezel allows for diversified stand alone or video wall solutions giving retailers the option to tile multiple displays in a storefront window environment.
- eBoard – A 65″ LED interactive touch-screen display designed to work with Samsung’s Slate PCs and Galaxy Tablets as part of the Connected Classroom solution. Ideal for education environments, Samsung’s eBoard Solution comes equipped with a large screen size of 65″ and high brightness levels of 500 nits. The 650TS-2 LCD eBoard delivers high-quality images, even in brightly lit rooms.
- OL46B – Samsung’s OL46B is an all-in-one outdoor display and enclosure designed to ensure flawless performance for outdoor high-impact business communications.
- Touch Overlay Modules for ME LED Series – Available as an optional accessory that turns Samsung’s ME LED models (40-inch to 65-inch) into a touch display, the Touch Overlay seamlessly attaches to the frame of the bezel enabling a fully integrated touch display solution.
All solutions are on display at InfoComm and available through Samsung distributors and resellers. The MD Series are currently available, the ME65B and ME75B will be available in August 2012, the H Series will be available in July 2012 and the UD22B will be available in August 2012.
