In case if you missed

The UK’s leading LED screen company, ADI.tv, played a pivotal role in enhancing the experience of millions during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations over the weekend. As a key supplier for the historic event, ADI deployed over 60 LED screens across major venues, including the Investec Derby at Epsom, the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, and the BBC Jubilee Concert.

With over a million attendees flocking to the UK capital, event organizers faced the dual challenge of ensuring both the enjoyment and safety of the vast crowds. Large LED screens, a staple of modern public events, were instrumental in addressing these concerns by providing clear views of the action from any location and facilitating crowd management through real-time messaging.

Unmatched Flexibility with Mobile LED Screens

ADI’s fleet of mobile LED screens, the largest in the UK, was central to the success of these events. The ability to swiftly position and remove screens within restricted timeframes made them an ideal choice for the bustling urban settings of London. These state-of-the-art screens, capable of being set up or dismantled in under an hour, allowed event organizers to comply with strict city regulations, while also enhancing the viewing experience for spectators.

Months of meticulous planning went into ensuring that ADI’s screens, along with the necessary technical teams, were seamlessly deployed across multiple high-profile events. The logistical complexity was heightened by the need for quick adaptability to last-minute changes, a challenge that ADI met with expertise and precision.

Highlights of the Jubilee Weekend

Investec Derby at Epsom: The celebrations kicked off on June 2nd with the Investec Derby, where 11 ADI screens were strategically placed around Epsom Downs Racecourse. These screens ensured that the 200,000 attendees, including the Queen herself, had an unobstructed view of the races.

Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant: On June 3rd, the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant saw over 1.2 million spectators lining the riverbanks. ADI provided 17 mobile screens along the route, which not only enhanced the viewing experience but also played a crucial role in managing crowd movement, thereby preventing congestion and ensuring public safety.

BBC Jubilee Concert: The highlight of the weekend was the BBC Jubilee Concert on June 4th, staged in front of Buckingham Palace. ADI’s iCONIC 100+ screens, the largest and highest resolution mobile LED screens in the world, were positioned at the gates, offering an unparalleled viewing experience for the 10,000 attendees. Additional screens were set up at key locations like St James’s Park and Hyde Park, allowing an estimated 500,000 people to enjoy the concert’s live broadcast.

A Legacy of Excellence

Harj Virdee, ADI’s Business Development Manager, reflected on the company’s involvement in the Jubilee celebrations, stating, “This has been one of the biggest celebrations the UK has ever seen. The logistical challenge of supplying such a large number of screens to so many high-profile events over the same weekend was significant, but certainly worth it.”

Following the Jubilee weekend, ADI’s summer schedule remains packed, with upcoming events like the Torch Relay, London Olympics, and Euro 2012 demanding their expertise in LED screen solutions.
