NEC Display Solutions has won back its title as market leader in the field of public displays. According to a market report by market research firm Meko Ltd., NEC held first place in the 2nd quarter of 2009 both in Germany and in Central Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries), measured in terms of units sold.
With a market share of 37.42 per cent in Germany and 30.13 per cent in Central Europe, NEC held top position on both markets. “This outstanding result is confirmation of the consistently solutions-focused product strategy that we are pursuing with our partners,” says Lutz Hardge, General Manager Sales Central Europe at NEC Display Solutions, delightedly. “In Central Europe, around 60 per cent of the market is dominated by two companies. We are confident that, with the new models of our MultiSync® P series that are set to be launched onto the market soon, we will also be maintaining a leading role on the market in the months to come.”
