Digital Signage Expo Announces Call for DSE 2013 APEX Awards Entries1 min read
Digital Signage Expo® (DSE) announced that it is now accepting nominations for its 10th Annual APEX Awards, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the annual show.
To qualify, nominees must have a new or current digital signage or interactive technology program installed between November 1, 2011, and November 1, 2012. Submissions deadline is Friday, October 5, 2012. Both U.S. and international installations are eligible. In 2012, 18 countries entered the competition. Nominations will be evaluated by a panel of independent judges on the basis of:
- Challenge – The size, scope or unique requirements of the deployment and what problems had to be solved or overcome to ensure successful implementation.
- Solution – The degree to which the solution was “cutting edge” (new, unique, or innovative).
- Result – The quantitative extent to which the digital signage or interactive technology deployment benefitted the viewer and achieved the installation’s goals.
The 4th Annual Apex & Content Awards Dinner will be held in Las Vegas the opening night of DSE 2013 on Wednesday, February 27, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Those interested can view 2012 finalists on the DSE Flickr site.
