Luxaflex®, a company known for its innovative window coverings, has integrated state-of-the-art digital signage into more than 300 of its Luxaflex® Gallery and Inspiration Shops across the Benelux. Luxaflex® turned to Certified Scala Partner QYN to design an interactive digital network to attract, inspire and motivate customers and sales personnel.
The ever-changing product offerings and promotions at various retail shops were becoming a challenge for the Luxaflex® sales staff to accurately and efficiently present to customers. Luxaflex® wanted a solution that would inform shoppers while allowing them to imagine specific window coverings in their own homes. QYN designed a network comprised of 333 screens and a central interactive kiosk for each store to enhance the consumer experience and encourage more definitive purchase decisions.
The network features a centrally managed content manager and one Scala player license per outlet. The most noticeable digital element within the stores is the kiosk unit with a 32-inch touch screen, also known as the focus module. The focus module helps customers find appropriate window coverings that meet their needs and assists sales staff with recommendations and product comparisons.
Using the “Imagine Studio” component of the kiosk, customers can visualize what products will look like in a home setting with different color schemes and a variety of lighting options. Additionally, the results can be saved for sales personnel to access later for follow-up with prospective customers.
“The new digital technology allows customers to be inspired and educate themselves while they wait for a salesperson to assist them,” said Matthijs Buijs, Manager of Operations at QYN. “The Scala software offers the flexibility, scalability and reliability we needed to perfectly complete this project.”
Last year Luxaflex® received the Golden Peacock Award from POPAI, The Global Association for Marketing at Retail Benelux, for the Best Shop-in-Shop concept.
